Billing

Payment for your hospital bill is ultimately your responsibility. However, UMC’s Patient Accounts staff is available to answer any questions or concerns you may have regarding your bill.

Please note that UMC will file your claim with your primary and secondary insurance plans if you provide that information when you register.

You will receive more than one bill for your hospital stay:

  • One from the hospital for your room, meals, nursing care, lab, and other related medical services
  • One from the physician for professional services
  • One from the radiologist for reading and interpreting any X-ray procedures performed
  • One from the pathologist for interpreting any lab tests that were performed

In addition, if you were brought to the hospital by ambulance, you will receive a bill from the ambulance company as well.

UNDERSTANDING YOUR BILL
Your bill from UMC includes tests and procedures ordered by your doctor, room charges, and nursing care charges. You may receive separate bills from the doctors who cared for you. If you have any questions, please contact the number listed on that bill.

As a patient, you may qualify for discounts that are available for all uninsured Clark County residents who qualify. For further information please inquire with our Eligibility Financial Service team at 702-383-2350, or our Billing team at 702-383-2347.
