Serving as the only Nevada's first and ONLY transplant center, the UMC Center for Transplantation offers lifesaving kidney transplants and highly specialized care for transplant patients. With advances in surgical techniques, post-transplant medications and careful follow-up, organ transplantation often serves as the most successful treatment choice for many people with kidney disease. UMC kidney transplant patients now enjoy a success rate of greater than 97% at one year. The UMC multidisciplinary transplant team provides patients with access to a full team of transplant experts, including physicians, nurses, pharmacists, dietitians, social workers, financial counselors, and living donor coordinators who will happily assist you with all your transplantation questions and concerns.

With the state’s largest COVID-19 testing laboratory and a world-class team of infectious disease experts, UMC remains committed to guiding our community through this public health crisis. In addition to providing world-class care for patients with COVID-19, UMC offers dedicated pre-travel and corporate COVID-19 testing services.

With dedicated Adult and Pediatric Emergency departments, in addition the state's ONLY Level I Trauma Center and ONLY Designated Pediatric Trauma Center, UMC offers the most comprehensive emergency care available in Nevada.

The UMC Wellness Center specializes in providing ongoing treatment for people living with HIV/AIDS and their families. UMC has provided highly specialized HIV/AIDS care for community members since 1985, offering groundbreaking therapies and robust testing resources to save and improve lives across Southern Nevada. Led by Dr. Jerry Cade, a renowned pioneer in HIV/AIDS care, the UMC Wellness Center continues to deliver the most advanced care available for community members. 

Located on the first floor of the main hospital, our Imaging and Radiology department is staffed by professionals who perform MRI and CT scans, ultrasounds, X-rays, and nuclear medicine screenings to support all UMC departments. We are accredited by the American College of Radiologists and The Joint Commission, and UMC is a Designated Lung Cancer Screening Center.

Available 24 hours a day, seven days a week, UMC Lab Services provides the results your doctor needs. UMC's Pathology department, accredited by the College of American Pathologists and the Clinical Laboratory Improvement Act, provides valuable support for all hospital services and programs.

In 1968, with the help of local Lions Clubs, UMC opened Nevada’s first and only burn care center. Today, the center remains the state’s only Verified Burn Center, providing inpatient and outpatient care to residents and visitors in Nevada, Utah, Arizona and California. The expertise developed in treating burns has been applied to caring for other wounds, including those resulting from diabetes. As the UMC Lions Burn Care Center makes strides in treatment, this knowledge is shared with departments across the hospital to improve care for all patients.

This expertly trained team now delivers highly specialized care for community members at the newly established UMC Orthopedic and Spine Institute, located in the heart of the Las Vegas Medical District at 2231 W. Charleston Blvd.

Serving as your gateway to Nevada's Highest Level of Care, UMC Primary Care offers trusted neighborhood physicians to manage all aspects of your health. Primary Care providers play a key role in your health care, coordinating with specialists and developing personalized care plans to promote your long-term health.

With convenient locations across the Las Vegas Valley and no appointments needed, UMC Quick Care provides you with direct access to high-quality urgent care services. All UMC Quick Care locations are open seven days a week, from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m.

UMC offers comprehensive surgical services in numerous specialties. Our services are available 24 hours a day and support the only free-standing Level I Trauma Center west of the Mississippi. We provide quality care to patients of all ages, utilizing the most advanced surgical technology available to provide new levels of safety and quality. 

Children need specialized care that focuses on their unique needs, involves their parents from start to finish, and is provided in a child-friendly environment. They require extra time, additional monitoring, child-specific medications, and caregivers with the skills and compassion to understand their psychological and physical well-being. UMC Children's Hospital serves as the state's only hospital to be recognized and accepted as an associate member of the Children's Hospital Association.

The UMC Women & Newborn Care Center offers state-of-the-art care and technology in a warm, home-like environment for mothers and their babies. Our Women & Newborn Care Center is the only one in Nevada staffed around the clock by obstetricians and anesthesiologists, with lifesaving support from a Level III neonatal nursery — the highest level of newborn care available. UMC also specializes in high-risk obstetrics, including bloodless cesarean sections.
