PGY-1 PHARMACY RESIDENCY

  • The PGY1 Pharmacy Residency builds on Doctor of Pharmacy education and strives to contribute to the development and advancement of clinical pharmacists responsible for medication-related care of patients with a variety of conditions.
  • Upon completion of the PGY1 program, residents are equipped to thrive in different settings, including clinical pharmacy specialists, clinical faculty, or continuation of training in a PGY2 program or fellowship.

Positions: 4

Duration: 12 months

Rotations: 4 required, 4 electives

Estimated Stipend: $51,542 per year (no FICA or state income tax)

RESIDENT REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS
  • Nevada Pharmacist License within 60 days of starting program
    • Nevada Intern Pharmacist License will be needed unless licensed as registered pharmacist in Nevada prior to July 1
  • Graduate of an ACPE-accredited College of Pharmacy
  • Strongly recommended for NAPLEX and Nevada MPJE to be taken prior to the first day of residency
