PGY-2 CRITICAL CARE PHARMACY RESIDENCY


PROGRAM FUNDAMENTALS

  • The PGY2 Critical Care Pharmacy Residency builds on PGY1 and Doctor of Pharmacy education. The program provides residents with ample learning opportunities in various critical care areas.
  • Upon completion of the PGY2 program, residents are qualified to obtain a position in most critical care areas as a clinical pharmacy specialist, clinical faculty, or continuation of training in a fellowship program.

RESIDENCY HIGHLIGHTS

Positions: 1

Duration: 12 months

Rotations: 6 required, 2 electives

Estimated Stipend: $66,372 per year (no FICA or state income tax)

RESIDENT REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS
  • Nevada Pharmacist License recommended prior to the first day of residency
  • Completion of an ASHP-accredited PGY1 residency
  • Graduate of an ACPE-accredited College of Pharmacy

  • 3 letters of recommendation (1 must be from PGY1 Residency Program Director)
PGY-2 Critical Care Residency interviews: Candidates will be asked to give a 15 minute presentation on a critical care topic. Slides should be emailed to program director one week prior to interview date.
